Experience the splendor of a 17th-century art form with this exquisite Pichwai painting by Naveen Soni. Rooted in the Nathdwara region of Rajasthan, these magnificent works serve as divine backdrops for temples dedicated to Shrinathji, a seven-year-old form of Lord Krishna. The tradition is celebrated for its intricate craftsmanship and the luxurious use of gold and silver to embellish cloth, creating a truly sacred and dazzling masterpiece.
At the center of the painting is the main subject, Shreenathji, rendered in a monochromatic complexion and adorned with intricate jewelry, a tall, decorative peacock feather headdress, and a flowing white garment with gold trim. The deity holds a lotus flower stick in one hand as a Gopala or cowherd with a flute and has the other raised, symbolic of lifting Mount Govardhan. By his feet are kept the jaldani (water pot), paan beeda, and prasad box as offerings.
He is framed by a border of a lighter, beige color that is decorated with a smaller, repeating pattern. The entire work is mounted on a larger composition with a repeating floral pattern, complementing the central design. The painting's serene colors and meticulous details make it a beautiful example of devotional art, capturing a sense of peace and divine grace.

No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.

Returns and Replacements
