This exquisite Sanjhi creation by Ashutosh Verma honors the divine form of Shrinathji, utilizing the delicate Mathura tradition of hand-cut paper to create a spiritual masterpiece. Sanjhi is a meticulous art form where negative space is carefully excised to form intricate designs, traditionally used to create ritualistic floor patterns but here elevated to a fine wall art piece. The artwork features a soft, elegant color palette with an off-white paper cutout set against a gentle peach-toned background, which provides a warm glow and emphasizes the fragility and precision of the handiwork. The incredible detail in the cutting transforms the single sheet into a complex tapestry of sacred symbols and natural beauty.
The central figure of Shrinathji stands in a classic pose on a small lotus pedestal, with his right arm raised in the iconic gesture of lifting Mount Govardhan and his left hand holding a graceful, long-stemmed lotus flower. His attire is richly detailed with delicate cutouts representing layered jewelry, a patterned dhoti, and a crown adorned with peacock feathers. Being a gwala (cowherd), numerous cows and stylized trees, reminiscent of banana groves, flank him on either side, their leaves rendered with fine geometric patterns that suggest both life and structural order. Above the deity, three large floral medallions dominate the upper frame, their radiating petals creating a sense of divine light and symmetry. At the base, a lush pond filled with various stages of blooming lotuses and water plants provides a grounded, organic foundation for the sacred scene. Returns and Replacements
We offer replacements or repairs if your artwork arrives damaged or has a quality issue. As each artwork is handcrafted, we do not accept returns or refunds for orders received in the expected condition.
Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
Once your order is placed, our team stays in constant communication with the artist to track the progress and ensure the quality of your order. You will receive regular updates from us throughout this process.
