This striking Soof embroidery textile panel by Daya Ben showcases a beautifully rendered geometric tree motif. Soof Embroidery is a traditional counted-thread embroidery practiced by women of the Meghwal community in the Kutch region of Gujarat. It is created by counting the weave of the fabric rather than drawing patterns, resulting in precise geometric designs. The embroidery is usually worked with silk threads on handwoven cotton fabric, often without any mirrors. Soof motifs are inspired by nature, including flowers, buds and abstract forms.

The artwork is structured around a perfectly balanced, symmetrical vertical axis, rising from a broad base to a tapered apex. The tree anchors itself on a wide pyramid built from multi-colored, interlocking triangles. Moving upward, the central trunk transitions into a stacked column of diamond and rectangular modules filled with chevrons and micro-geometric accents.

Symmetrical, stylized "arms" fan outward along the middle tier, ending in traditional, sharp soof points that give the central tree an expansive silhouette against the open canvas. A central circular abhla (mirror) crowns the very top of the tree, while eight additional mirrors flank the central trunk in perfectly balanced, vertical pairs, pulling the eye outward and framing the textile's core motif.

The technical mastery of the piece lies in its impeccable structural precision that utilizes tight, multi-directional satin stitches. The precise layout leaves intentional breathing room on the light, neutral handwoven cotton backdrop, ensuring the complex geometric form feels light and elegant.

The color scheme relies on a vibrant, celebratory contrast of jewel tones and warm accents. The mirrors are bordered by contrasting colorful thread frameworks such as deep purple, orange and blue, reflecting light and providing luminous focal points that tie the entire palette together.

Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.

Domestic Orders

All prices are inclusive of GST and applicable Indian taxes.

• We offer free shipping on orders above ₹1999 for all artworks, except Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri.
• A flat shipping rate of ₹499 applies to orders below ₹1999.

Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri

Shipping is charged on a per-kilogram basis, due to the delicate and bulky nature of these items.

International Orders

• A flat shipping charge of ₹4,000 applies to international artwork orders.
• Customs duties, taxes, or import charges in the buyer’s country are not included and must be borne by the buyer.
• Shipping rates for Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri artworks will be calculated based on weight.

Additonal Shipping Charges

Extra charges may be applicable for both domestic and international deliveries in the following cases:

• If the article requires additional packaging (such as a wooden crate) to ensure safe shipping due to its delicate nature.
• Custom-framed artworks.
• Artworks where shorter side exceeds 36 inches or Decor items with any side over 35 inches.
• If you request express shipping. Contact support to check availability.
• The order contains more than two different product types.

All artworks are handmade and couriered securely in transit safe packaging sutaible for the artwork.

This artwork will be Made to Order and will take 2-3 weeks to be made and shipped. Returns are not applicable on Made To Order artworks.
