About the Artwork +

Renowned artist Bhuri Bai's simple yet abstract imagery, infused with vibrant colors and intricate detailing, evokes the essence of Bhil artistry. This exquisite piece is a symphony of multihued dots and lines, weaving together stories, prayers, memories, and traditions onto plain backgrounds. The hallmark of this stunning composition lies in the multilayered symbolism of its dots, inspired by the kernels of maize. Each cluster of dots represents an ancestor or deity, infusing spiritual depth into the artwork. Bhil paintings, with their depictions of nature and village scenes, celebrate the beauty found in the everyday experiences of the Bhil tribe, making "Akshaya Vata: The Immortal Tree of Life" an artistic treasure that speaks to the heart of a community's culture and heritage.
