Priti Karn portrays a scene of profound symbolism and vivid color. At the core of this captivating artwork resides a perfect circle, symbolic of unity, eternity, and the cyclical nature of life. Within this circle, two boars emerge, their forms awash in vibrant orange and yellow hues. Opposite the boars, an intricately drawn snake gracefully coils, its presence denoting transformation, rebirth, and the shedding of old burdens. The snake's sinuous form and the precision with which it is depicted evoke a sense of wonder and respect. The circular canvas is further adorned by lush green plants that encircle the central composition. These plants, rich in detail, reflect the thriving ecosystem in which these powerful creatures coexist. Their presence emphasises the harmonious balance of life and nature. The artwork is a celebration of the eternal cycle of life and the dynamic interplay between strength and transformation.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

Madhubani art, also known as Mithila art, originates from the Mithila region of Bihar, India, and is celebrated for its intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and profound cultural significance. Traditionally created by women on walls and floors during auspicious occasions, these paintings depict Hindu mythology, nature, folklore, and daily life, often incorporating Hindu deities, scenes from epics, and natural motifs like flowers and animals. Legend suggests its origins trace back to King Janak's commission for Sita's wedding. Artists traditionally use natural pigments from plants and minerals, applied with homemade bamboo and cotton brushes, filling the entire surface with fine detail. While some contemporary artists use synthetic paints, many maintain traditional methods. The art form gained international recognition in the 1960s and has since expanded to various mediums beyond walls, including canvases and textiles. Distinct styles like Kachni (line art), Bharni (filling art), Godna (tattoo art), Tantrik (spiritual), and Kohbar (marriage rituals) exist, each with unique characteristics. Madhubani art holds immense cultural, social, and religious importance, preserving stories, providing livelihood for women artists, and serving as a vibrant expression of India's rich heritage.
