Renowned artist Dolon Kundu in his Terracotta Diya art patterns intricate petal designs with circles at the border on the diya. The intricate petal and circle designs on a terracotta diya symbolize the spreading of light and dispelling darkness, both literally and metaphorically. Lighting diyas is a way to drive away ignorance and symbolize the triumph of good over evil. The circular design at the border of the diya represents the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. In Hinduism, the concept of "samsara" refers to the cycle of birth and rebirth. Lighting a diya with such patterns is seen as a reminder of this continuous cycle and the hope for spiritual growth and progress in one's life. The intricate petal and circle patterns add an artistic and aesthetic touch to the diya. In many Indian traditions, art and craftsmanship have a special place, and such designs reflect the creativity and skill of the artisans who create these terracotta diyas.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.
