Sanjay Tandekar has been a painter for the past 15 years. He got his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Fine Arts from Nagpur. He had always had a strong interest in traditional arts, and he was especially eager in learning Tanjore painting. He is a self-taught Tanjore artist who learnt Tanjore painting by meticulously analysing the nuances of the art form. His wife and father are now also interested in this magnificent art form with him. He has received several medals and accolades for his proficiency in Tanjore and other arts, including a Gold Medal at the 2017 National Art Exhibition in Punjab.
Tanjore Paintings Is A Classical South Indian Art Developed In The Late 16th Century In Thanjavur Also Known As Tanjore In Tamilnadu South Indian State. These Tanjore Paintings Evoke A Sense Of Class And Timelessness With Their Alluring Illustrations Of Puranic Scenes.
