Artist Mayur Shilpa, in her grasswork art develops a straw basket with alternate yellow and off-white blocks. Grasswork art often reflects the traditions and cultural values of the community or region where it is practiced. The use of specific colors and patterns in grasswork is a reflection of the cultural heritage and symbolism of that community. In some cultures, yellow symbolizes prosperity, happiness, or good luck, while off-white represents purity or simplicity. The alternating pattern of yellow and off-white blocks is chosen simply for its visual appeal. The combination of these colors creates a pleasing and harmonious contrast that attracts the viewer's attention. In some cases, straw baskets are not just artistic pieces but also functional items used for carrying or storing goods. The alternating colors in the grass work also have a practical purpose, such as helping to identify the contents of the basket or making it more visually distinctive.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.
We ship worldwide. All artworks are handmade and couriered securely in transit safe packaging sutaible for the artwork.

Returns and Replacements

Delivery Timeline
This artwork will be Made to Order and will take 3 weeks to be made and shipped.
Once your order is placed, our team stays in constant communication with the artist to track the progress and ensure the quality of your order. You will receive regular updates from us throughout this process.
