About the Artwork +
The Tree of Life, a ubiquitous motif across various art forms, symbolizes the interconnectedness of life on Earth. It serves as a poignant reminder of the inseparable relationship between flora and fauna, emphasizing their mutual reliance for existence. Within this painting, the majestic Tree of Life harmoniously coexists with the national bird of India, the peacock, renowned for its slender neck and resplendent, lush feathers.
The artistic tradition of Kalamkari, historically known as Pattachitra, traces its roots to ancient cultures found in Odisha, India, and Nepal. The term "Pattachitra" derives from "patta," meaning "cloth," and "chitra," meaning "picture," underscoring the use of fabric and scrolls for creating these exquisite artworks. References to fabric-based paintings can be found in ancient Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain literature. During the medieval Islamic rule, the term Kalamkari emerged, combining "kalam" (pen in Telugu) and "kari" (craftsmanship), gaining popularity under the patronage of the Golconda sultanate.

Shipping and Taxes +
We ship worldwide, Our Prices are inclusive of GST/Taxes in India. For international orders, any specific custom duties you may encounter in your home country during the delivery has to borne by the buyer.
For all artworks except Lippan and Terracotta, we offer free shipping on orders above ₹999, a ₹249 flat rate is applicable to smaller order amounts.
Our standard shipping rates are not applicable for custom framed artworks.
For international artwork orders shipping charges of 4000 INR* are applicable.
For Lippan and Terracotta Artworks, We charge a Shipping rate on a per Kilogram basis.
*Extra charges may apply for both domestic and international deliveries in the following cases:
- International artwork orders where the artwork's smaller side measures more than 36 inches.
- Extra charges are applicable for Express Shipping. Contact support to check availability for your order.
- Orders with more than 2 product types in the cart.
Delivery Timelines and Returns +
All artworks are handmade and couriered securely packed in a tube.
Due to high demand for artworks from this artist, the delivery timelines are currently 10-12 weeks.

All MeMeraki artworks are hand-painted. In rare occasions, artist may face delays due to weather, health, prior commitments or force majeure. Our team will reach out to you with revised timelines in case of such delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience in such situations.
