This Chamba Rumal embroidery by artist Anjali Vakil portrays a serene devotional scene from the life of Lord Krishna. The artwork is meticulously hand-embroidered on a cream-colored khaddar (cotton) base using the traditional do-rukha (double-sided) satin stitch, which ensures the patterns appear identical on both the front and the back of the fabric.
At the heart of the composition, Lord Krishna is shown at the center with his classic blue skin and a vibrant yellow dhoti. He is adorned with a peacock feather in his crown and is depicted holding a lotus flower while standing beneath the spreading branches of a stylized tree. While the gopis stand in attendance, they are captured in a moment of quiet, symmetrical poise.
The scene is balanced by four gopis, two on either side of Krishna, each dressed in traditional tunics and skirts featuring varied geometric and floral patterns. The tree behind Krishna serves as a central vertical axis, with its branches filled with pink and purple blossoms, while a separate flowering vine with yellow and purple flowers adds further natural detail to the right. The entire narrative is enclosed within a highly decorative rectangular border featuring a winding vine and five-petaled flowers, bringing together the aesthetics of the entire artwork.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

Returns and Replacements
We offer replacements or repairs if your artwork arrives damaged or has a quality issue. As each artwork is handcrafted, we do not accept returns or refunds for orders received in the expected condition.
Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
