This exquisite Chamba Rumal embroidery by artist Anjali Vakil features a central depiction of Lord Vishnu in a circular mandala, surrounded by attendants and celestial symbols.
At the very center of the composition, Lord Vishnu is seated on a pink lotus pedestal within a purple hexagonal frame. He is rendered with a dark blue complexion, four arms, and an elaborate golden crown topped with a ceremonial umbrella. In his four hands, he holds his primary attributes: the Shankha (conch), the Chakra (discus), the Gada (mace), and the Padma (lotus). His attire is a vibrant yellow and orange, detailed with traditional jewelry that stands out against the cream-colored silk ground.
Radiating outward from this central core are four scalloped alcoves, each containing a female attendant or devotee. These figures are shown in various acts of worship, such as holding a lotus or performing music, and are dressed in colorful traditional garments in shades of red, blue, and yellow. Interspersed between these figures are stylized floral and flame-like motifs, adding to the rhythmic, balanced energy of the mandala.
The entire circular arrangement is enclosed within a wide, decorative floral border. This outer ring features a continuous vine with multi-colored blossoms—including blue, orange, and pink flowers—alternating with green leaves. As is characteristic of the Chamba Rumal tradition, Anjali Vakil utilizes the double-sided satin stitch to ensure the intricate divine narrative is perfectly rendered on both sides of the fabric, transforming the textile into a "needle-painted" sacred space.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

Returns and Replacements
We offer replacements or repairs if your artwork arrives damaged or has a quality issue. As each artwork is handcrafted, we do not accept returns or refunds for orders received in the expected condition.
Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
