This Pichwai painting on cloth, executed by master artist Dinesh Soni, offers a detailed pastoral depiction of Lord Shrinathji playing his flute amidst a surrounding herd of cows and cowherds. Originating from the 400-year-old Nathdwara tradition of Rajasthan, Pichwai artworks serve as devotional temple hangings that adorn the shrine of Lord Krishna in his seven-year-old manifestation.
At the center of the composition, the dark-complexioned deity stands in a graceful tribhanga posture playing his bamboo flute. He is clad in multi-colored garments with gold trim, adorned with pearl necklaces, a long kamal-mala (lotus garland), a diamond nose pin, a chin jewel, and an elaborate peacock feather crown. Dense clusters of white cows surround the Lord, their bodies decorated with saffron handprints on their heads, flanks, and hooves to symbolize divine protection and celebration. Interspersed among the herd, cowherds (gwalas) stand in attentive, reverent poses, entranced by the divine melody.
The central figure group is set against a broad grey-green background filled with a repeating lotus motif (Kamal Talai), depicting rows of blooming pink lotuses with green leaves. The main composition is framed by a thin decorative floral inner band and a solid red outer margin.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.

Returns and Replacements

Delivery Timeline
This artwork will be Made to Order and will take 2-3 weeks to be made and shipped.
