This vibrant Pichwai painting by master artist Shehzaad Ali Sherani. The painting depicts Lord Shrinathji, the seven-year-old manifestation of Lord Krishna. This painting is rendered in the traditional Pichwai style, an artform originating from Rajasthan, with its roots deeply entrenched in the Nathdwara region. The term ‘pichwai’ refers to intricate paintings executed on cloth, which are traditionally hung on the back walls of temples worshipping Shrinathji.
The canvas depicts Lord Shrinathji in a sampada position, representing stability and reverence. He is shown with his left hand raised, symbolising holding the Mount Govardhana, while his other hand rests on his waist. He is depicted with a dark complexion, a toned physique, black outlines, and a predominantly grey palette. His face is oval-shaped, with kamalanayan (lotus-like eyes), a slender nose, and protruding lips. A white diamond, shining like moonlight against the night sky and contrasting with his dark complexion, adorns his chin. He is further adorned with a Vaishnava tilak on his forehead.
Shrinathji is embellished with an abundance of jewellery with heavy floral garlands. His crown is depicted in pure gold and embellished with semi-precious gemstones, with a large peacock feather attached to its apex. A long, swirling braid, embellished with accessories of gold and gemstones hangs beside him.
His right arm holds a flute and kamalchadi. He is attired in elegant vastras, rendered in two primary shades of green and red and embellished with a gold border. Dot patterns cover the garment. In front of him, a prasad dibbi, paandaan and jaaldani are placed for use during his sewa.
The composition is set against a mustard-yellow background, with the floor rendered in a cream colour. The central depiction is framed by a broad floral border, painted against a cream-coloured backdrop.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

Returns and Replacements
