About the Artwork +

Suraj Kumar Sahu's Sikki Grasswork masterpiece unveils a transcendent fusion of nature and spirituality, portraying a half face of Buddha seamlessly merging with the organic grace of a leaf. The artwork showcases Sahu's exceptional skill in meticulously crafting the intricate details of Buddha's serene visage, harmoniously blending with the delicate veins and textures of the leaf. Sahu's labor-intensive process involves a meticulous manipulation of Sikki grass strands, artfully intertwining them to bring forth the divine features and the natural intricacies of the leaf. This unique composition not only symbolizes the interconnectedness of humanity and the environment but also reflects the artist's profound ability to infuse spirituality into the very fabric of nature through the medium of Sikki Grasswork.
