This Ashta Lakshmi composition in the Mysore painting style by Hemalatha B presents the eight manifestations of Lakshmi as individual circular medallions, each carefully framed and unified through a consistent visual language of lotus seats, gold gesso ornamentation, and deep green-black backgrounds with their names written in Kannada. The medallion format gives each form a self-contained sanctity while allowing them to function together as a balanced, mandala-like arrangement.
Across the set, Lakshmi is consistently shown seated on a lotus, richly adorned, holding combinations of the lotus, conch, discus, pot, and other symbolic objects.Following are the eight forms of Lakshmi - Adi Lakshmi is shown seated calmly on a lotus, holding the lotus, conch, and discus, with one hand in abhaya mudra (gesture of protection). Her composed posture and minimal yet powerful attributes emphasize her as the original, eternal source of all prosperity and stability. Dhana Lakshmi holds a pot (kalasha) symbolizing material abundance, along with the lotus and gestures of blessing. The presence of the vessel and her blessing hand clearly indicate the bestowal of wealth and prosperity. Dhanya Lakshmi is identifiable through symbols of nourishment, she holds the lotus along with grains that suggest agricultural abundance. The iconography emphasizes food, fertility of land and sustenance. Gaja Lakshmi is flanked by elephants pouring water, symbolizing royal power, authority, and dignity along with prosperity. Santana Lakshmi he protector of family and children. She is depicted holding a child and kalashas, blessing fertility, continuity, and care. Veera Lakshmi or Dhairya Lakshmi is a more dynamic form holding weapons like sword, shield, discus, and conch, representing bravery, strength, and resilience.Vidya Lakshmi is associated with learning and wisdom. She holds scriptures or a palm-leaf manuscript and lotus, signifying intellectual and spiritual knowledge. Vijaya Lakshmi is the bestower of success and triumph. She holds flag, conch, discus, lotus, and shows gestures of blessing, symbolizing achievement in all pursuits.
Rather than isolating wealth as a single idea, this set visually communicates Lakshmi as a cycle of abundance - material, agricultural, familial, intellectual, and spiritual - expressed through subtle shifts in attributes while maintaining the refined elegance, gold relief work, and compositional clarity characteristic of Mysore painting.

Returns and Replacements
We offer replacements or repairs if your artwork arrives damaged or has a quality issue. As each artwork is handcrafted, we do not accept returns or refunds for orders received in the expected condition.
Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
