Artist Gyaltzen Zimba depicts a Budha with a Vajraa in his Thangka paintings. The vajra is a ritual object and symbol holding profound spiritrual meaning in Tibetan Buddhism. The vajra is often seen as a symbol of indestructibility and diamond-like clarity, representing the indestructible state of enlightenmen twhich is beyond the limitations of ordinary perception and exprecience. The vajra is sometimes referred to as the "thunderbolt" and is associated with the power and authority of a spiritual leader. When Buddha is depicted holding the vajra, it signifies his authority over spiritual matters and his ability to cut through ignorance and fantasy.
